Jimmy O’Shea has worked with stone all of his life. Began humbly working with Tom Enright, a renowned Monumental Sculptor in the town of Listowel. Over the years he learned his trade working with Tom. The works involved creating and erecting all types of Monumental works in burial grounds throughout North Kerry and West Limerick. After spending 24 years Jimmy decided to start his own business as a Monumental Sculptor and has spent the last 20 years growing what has, from humble beginnings, become a very successful and renowned business.
"Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die."
